Revolution

What is happening in Syria and Lebanon is fascinating. Rarely do international affairs peak my interest, and local affairs have almost no detection on my radar, but the recent events in the middle east are truly remarkable. Pulling from a Washington Post article "It is the beginning of a new Arab revolution," argues Samir Franjieh, one of the organizers of the opposition. "It's the first time a whole Arab society is seeking change -- Christians and Muslims, men and women, rich and poor." Anyway, it's worth reading up on. Many attribute the war in Iraq as the tipping point that is starting this "revolution".

Gutsy

This moment in blog-dom is a shout out to the stellar kids that make up my younger siblings. Andy is the guy who will soon be able to beat the crap out of me, and I swear he gets stronger every time I visit the house, Erin is the cutie-pie who has the fireball personality, and Maura is the other cutie-pie who has a wicked awesome blog about a wicked awesome trip across the country. And I see them all alot less than I'd like to, and I feel bad about that. And then I'm not home when Maura's home, and my stupid cell is out of range when she calls! ARGH. Anyway, I'll try and be more "there" for you guts (haha, I know that's a spelling error, but it was so funny

Sniffle

There is something not good in the air in this office. I sneeze every ten minutes. ARGH.

Foood.

Did you know that Vector is not called a breakfast cereal because it contains such high levels of nutrients? It's called a "meal replacement". Good thing too, because all too often it's all I will have for a meal. Also, that Corn Flakes have been around since 1907? You'd think people would get sick of them.

Having my own office feels very strange. I've had someone working with me in the same room for so long that I get the nagging feeling that I'm missing something every once in a while.

Home feels good.

There's something special to coming home. I had an incredible time in the Dominican, but by the end I was tired and wanted my bed at home. I didn't quite sleep the same there, oddly enough. My bathroom managed to get mysteriously renovated over the week, and it looks great. No camera to boast with pics though.

Home. Mmm.
