Revolution
What is happening in Syria and Lebanon is fascinating. Rarely do international affairs peak my interest, and local affairs have almost no detection on my radar, but the recent events in the middle east are truly remarkable. Pulling from a Washington Post article "It is the beginning of a new Arab revolution," argues Samir Franjieh, one of the organizers of the opposition. "It's the first time a whole Arab society is seeking change -- Christians and Muslims, men and women, rich and poor." Anyway, it's worth reading up on. Many attribute the war in Iraq as the tipping point that is starting this "revolution".
